SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS

SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT
MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2010 AT 6:00 A.M. ON ROADS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF CALHOUN COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION.

The following roads are classified as All Seasonal Roads (No Restrictions Apply)

• B Drive North from M-66 to 6 1/2 Mile Road

• Raymond Road from Emmett Street to Cliff Street

• H Drive South from West County Line Road to M-66

• Michigan Avenue from Partello Road to 25 1/2 Mile Road

• Morgan Road from M-37 to M-66

• N Drive North from 11 Mile Road to I-69

• Old 27 from Marshall City Limits to Baseline Road

• Old 27 from F Drive South to Tekonsha Village Limits

• T Drive South from 18 Mile Road to 22 Mile Road

• 8 Mile Road from M-60 to South County Line Road

• 22 Mile Road from T Drive South to South County Line Road

• Wheatfield Parkway from 11 Mile Road to Michigan Ave

• 15 Mile Road from Railroad Tracks to Michigan Ave

• Verona Road from 11 Mile Road to Raymond Road

• 11 Mile Road from Verona Road to I-94

• F Drive North from Railroad Tracks to 11 Mile Road

• Homer Road from M-60 to F Drive South

The County's Weighmaster and the Michigan State Police Motor Carrier may enforce seasonal weight and speed reductions during January, February, March and April each year.  During the periods of seasonal restriction, State Law reduces maximum axle loads for trucks by 35 percent.  Tire loads cannot exceed 450 pounds per inch of tire width.  State Law also reduces the travel speed limit for trucks to a maximum of 35 miles per hour.  You can obtain more information by contacting the Road Commission office, the Calhoun County Sheriff or the Michigan State Police.
