MANAGING DIRECTORS REPORT
Joanna Johnson gave the Managing Directors report for Mr. Randolph:
We are continuing to work with Clarence Township, DEQ, and the designers to solidify a resolution on the sewer project. Tiffany Eichorst is doing a fine job of trying to coordinate those efforts. She is making sure the resident's questions are being answered and hopefully getting some sort of direction from the DEQ.
Tiffany Eichorst stated that Clarence Township passed the resolution on September 12, 2005 at their last meeting, however the water softener recommendation was not included. She stated that we were working with the DEQ to get a letterin writing stating that it is required that Clarence Township have a water softener ordinance.
COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS
Commissioner Monaweck asked what we are doing to change the habits of residents on salt usage and if we have thought further of purchasing the correct salt for the residents to use? Ms. Eichorst responded that this was proposed to Clarence Township and we hope with the letter from the DEQ there will be less resistance. Commissioner Veramay commented on the history with this situation and that it has always been difficult to get anything in writing from the DEQ. Commissioner Veramay noted we are to keep track of the dollars spent in order to get them charged back when the project proceeds.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 19, 2005 immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Board of Road Commission meeting. There being no additional business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 9:34 a.m.
