The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works of the County of Calhoun was held Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in their office located at 13300 Fifteen Mile Road, Marshall, Michigan.

Chairperson Veramay called the meeting to order at 10:29 a.m. There being no additions or corrections to the regular meeting minutes of January 18, 2006 they stand approved as printed and distributed.
COMMUNICATIONS AND RESOLUTIONS
Mrs. Johnson noted that we received the memo regarding the 2005 Audit Engagement letter from Rehmann Robson.
NEW BUSINESS
Moved by Commissioner Monaweck and supported by Commissioner Travis to accept and sign the 2005 Audit Engagement letter with Rehmann Robson. Voice vote: Motion carried.
Mrs. Johnson informed the Board that we recently met with our environmental consultant with regards to Duck Lake. The subcommittee meeting is scheduled for February 23, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at our office. Chairman Veramay inquired if there was consensus of agreement in discussions. Mrs. Johnson responded that discussions have been very positive. Our consultant is advising that a water softener ordinance be implemented.
Ms. Eichorst reported that she is working on the EPA grant and a meeting will be scheduled with the Intercounty Drainage Council soon.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, 2006 immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Board of Road Commission meeting. There being no additional business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:33 a.m. |
