The regular meeting of the Board of Park Trustees of the County of Calhoun was held Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in their office located at 13300 Fifteen Mile Road, Marshall, Michigan.

Chairperson Monaweck called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. He stated that there being no additions or corrections to the regular meeting minutes of June 7, 2006 they stand approved as printed and distributed.

MANAGING DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Mr. Randolph stated that on Friday at 4:30pm there would be a Silver Leaf sponsor night at Kimball Pines. He hopes that everyone will come. We are using some of this time as a rededication of the parks system.

PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Mrs. Chapman provided the Board with the following information:

Mrs. Chapman stated that on June 17 th we had a planned project with Trout Unlimited and it is now on hold because of some revisions that need to be made to the MDEQ permit. They are still planning on going ahead with this project.

Mrs. Chapman stated that our crews are pretty much done working in Kimball Pines with the exception of our normal maintenance staff. We will have the Sheriff's Crew out doing some minor landscaping. The Silver Leaf event will start this Saturday.

Both wells at Kimball Pines have passed the Health Department tests. They will be out again to test the wells before the Silver Leaf event begins. We will be putting this on a yearly schedule to have the wells tested. The well driller suggested that we replace the pump on the north well next year.

Mrs. Chapman said that on August 17 th we will be having the Kanoe the Kazoo and the Parks Department will be Canoeing Graham Lake.

Chairperson Monaweck announced that the next regular meeting of the Board of Park Trustees is scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 2006 immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Calhoun County Board of Road Commission meeting. There being no additional business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:11 a.m.
