Meeting Minutes

The regular meeting of the Board of Park Trustees of the County of Calhoun was held Wednesday, February 2, 2005 in their office located at 13300 Fifteen Mile Road, Marshall, Michigan.

Present: Commissioner Charles E. Monaweck, Chairperson

Commissioner Chester E. Travis, Vice-Chairperson

Commissioner David D. Veramay, Member

Dennis A. Randolph, Managing Director

Joanna I. Johnson, Assistant Managing Director

Carole S. Tabiadon, Deputy Managing Director – Clerk

Angela Kline, Assistant County Highway Engineer

Pixie Coats, Human Resource Manager

Annette Chapman, Calhoun County Parks & Recreation Director

Chairperson Monaweck called the meeting to order at 10:28 am. He stated that there being no additions or corrections to the regular meeting minutes of January 5, 2005 they stand approved as printed and distributed.

PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Mrs. Annette Chapman reported:

•  She received 2 bids for painting the bridge and both were over budget. Bid tabs will be provided at a future meeting.

•  She had a Trailway interview with the Battle Creek Enquirer & News; it went very well. Mr. Randolph said that Nick at the Battle Creek Enquirer & News always does a good job for us.

•  She has received the plans and specs from Wilcox for the Wattles Road Bike Lane. She needs a little other information and then will send everything to MDOT for bid.

•  She has given two presentations regarding the I-69 Heritage Route and has requests for several more.

Joseph Bramble, Convis Township resident, thanked Annette Chapman for providing address for the newsletters in Convis Township.

Chairperson Monaweck announced that the next regular meeting of the Board of Park Trustees is scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, 2005 immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Calhoun County Board of Road Commission meeting. There being no additional business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:36 a.m.
