
Meeting Minutes
The regular meeting of the Board of Park Trustees of the County of Calhoun was held Wednesday, December 15, 2004 in their office located at 13300 Fifteen Mile Road, Marshall, Michigan.

Chairperson Bobrofsky called the meeting to order at 10:17 a.m. There being no additions or corrections to the regular meeting minutes of November 17, 2004 they stand approved as printed and distributed.
NEW BUSINESS
Moved by Commissioner Travis and supported by Commissioner Veramay to approve the 2005 Calhoun County Park Trustees Meeting Schedule. Voice vote: Motion carried.

PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Mrs. Annette Chapman reported:
Annette and the Parks Department received two Quality of Life Awards from the American Public Works Association (A.P.W.A.). One was for the construction of the new Fairgrounds roads and the other was for the implementation of the Mountain Bike Patrol in cooperation with Emmett Police Department.
She is continuing her work with the county trailway system
She was asked by the Battle Creek Foundation to speak at a Coalition on Obesity last week
There will be two bridges under construction in the spring at the Historic Bridge Park
The I-69 Heritage Route Committee needs to have participation from the abutting townships. She discussed this with a Convis Township resident recently.
MANAGING DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Mr. Dennis Randolph stated that:
The Christmas lights are on at the Historic Bridge Park
The County has agreed to give the Parks $2,000 for 2005; which will not go far. He will need to look at where we need to use those funds.
Chairperson Bobrofsky announced that the next regular meeting of the Board of Park Trustees is scheduled for Wednesday, January 5, 2005 immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Calhoun County Board of Road Commission meeting. There being no additional business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:23 a.m.
