
Meeting Minutes
The regular meeting of the Board of Park Trustees of the County of Calhoun was held Wednesday, January 5, 2005 in their office located at 13300 Fifteen Mile Road, Marshall, Michigan.

Clerk Tabiadon called meeting to order at 10:19 a.m. and called for the selection of 2005 officers.
Moved by Commissioner Travis and supported by Commissioner Veramay that Commissioner Charles Monaweck presides as Chairperson for 2005. Voice vote: Motion carried.
Moved by Commissioner Veramay and supported by Commissioner Monaweck that Commissioner Chester Travis serves as Vice-Chairperson for 2005. Voice vote: Motion carried.
Clerk Tabiadon handed the meeting over to Chairperson Monaweck.
Chairperson Monaweck stated that there being no additions or corrections to the regular meeting minutes of December 15, 2004 they stand approved as printed and distributed.
COMMUNICATIONS
Supplemental Lease Agreement #2 from Department of Veterans Affairs
PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Mrs. Annette Chapman reported:
Regarding the Supplemental Lease Agreement #2; these are revisions from negotiations last season
She is bidding janitorial & Maintenance for the state rest areas
She is bidding Historic Bridge Park jobs for spring construction
The lights at the Historic Bridge Park were very nice this year; there were a lot of compliments and media coverage
She has been working on mapping the County Trailway and working with the regional group
She is working with the Battle Creek baseball team and Custer Greens Golf Course
The Wattles Road Bike Lane consultant has delinquency issues and it was supposed to be completed last August; she is hoping for Spring 2005
The I-69 Heritage Route (Branch and Calhoun) will meet later this month
Dennis Randolph and Annette Chapman explained the background of Custer Greens Golf Course to Commissioner Monaweck, in answer to his question
Clarence Millard, Newton Township resident, asked if there will be signs on Dickman Road directing people to Custer Greens Golf Course. Mr. Randolph replied that yes, the Veterans Administration will allow the directional signs on their property on Dickman Road.
Joseph Bramble, Convis Township resident, stated he would like to commend Mr. Randolph and his staff for all the work they do without any county funding or cooperation. All work has been funded through grants that the staff has acquired.
Chairperson Monaweck announced that the next regular meeting of the Board of Park Trustees is scheduled for Wednesday, February 2, 2005 immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Calhoun County Board of Road Commission meeting. There being no additional business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
