The public comment period for the Calhoun County Solid Waste Strategic Plan begins January 31, 2008 and will end on March 3, 2008. This public comment period is an opportunity for the community, solid waste industry representatives and other interested parties to provide feedback on the Calhoun County Solid Waste Strategic Plan. The purpose of the Calhoun County Solid Waste Strategic Plan is to address department goals and objectives, and provide an outlook and vision for the department’s future.

Copies of the plan are available at the Calhoun County Road Commission office located at 13300 15 Mile Road, Marshall, Michigan from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. The Strategic Plan can also be viewed on our website at www.calhouncrc.net or on the County’s website at www.calhouncountymi.gov. Comments will be accepted until March 3, 2008.

The public hearing will be held on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 5:30 P.M. at the Calhoun County Road Commission office located at 13300 15 Mile Road, Marshall, Michigan 49068.
